Devon unemployment numbers fall slightly

The number of people out of work in Devon has fallen slightly.

Just over 9,600 people claimed jobseekers' allowance in March, according to the Office of National Statistics.

The figure is 2.4% lower than in February and 12.8% lower than in March last year.

The numbers of unemployed people also fell in Plymouth and Torbay, which are unitary authorities and not included in the statistics for Devon.
