Seven people were injured when a motorhome hit a group of people in a Devon village.

Six of the casualties are understood to be pedestrians, including four teenagers, while the driver was also injured.

Police were called to the crash in Beer shortly after 11:00 BST.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesman said one of the pedestrians was taken to Plymouth's Derriford Hospital by air ambulance with serious injuries.

The other six casualties have been taken to Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.

The crash happened in Fore Street, which has been closed while the incident is dealt with.

A police spokesman said it was a "foreign-plated vehicle".
