Arson suspected in Penzance basement blaze

Fire crews believe a fire in a Cornwall building was started deliberately.

Firefighters were called to Tolver Place in Penzance at 20:37 BST on Friday after smoke started billowing from a basement.

Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed that they are investigating the blaze, which was extinguished by the fire crews using breathing apparatus and two hose reels.

No-one is reported to have been injured in the blaze.
