Teenager arrested in Exeter murder probe

A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of a 47-year-old man in Devon.

Police were called to Bridge Court, Exeter, by ambulance staff due to a concern for welfare of a man in the early hours of Friday morning.

The victim, originally from Liverpool, was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital but later died.

The 19-year-old arrested man is assisting detectives at Heavitree Road police station.

The teenager was arrested just before midday on Sunday.

The victim's family has not yet been informed and formal identification has not yet taken place, Devon and Cornwall Police said.

Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed a disturbance on Thursday morning in Colleton Crescent, Exeter, or anyone with further information which may help the investigation.
