A family has paid tribute to a "loving father" whose death is being treated as suspicious by police.

John Olver, 60, from Stonehouse, Plymouth, collapsed and died outside the Clarence pub in the city on Sunday.

Mr Olver's family said the father and grandfather was "taken too soon" and would be "terribly missed".

Devon and Cornwall Police launched a murder investigation following his death, and a 25-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter.

The family added the "avid" Plymouth Argle fan was "an amazing, loving father of three and a doting grandfather of seven".
