CCTV of 'brazen' Bournemouth cashpoint raid

CCTV footage of a "brazen" daylight attack on a man at a cash machine in Dorset has been released.

The 36-year-old victim was on his way to work when he stopped at the machine outside the Barclays Bank in Wimborne Road, Winton, Bournemouth.

The robber punched him to the ground and demanded his cashcard Pin but fled with just the card when the man refused to give his number.

The victim suffered a cut lip and bruising in the attack on 24 June.

Det Con Steve May, of Bournemouth CID, said: "This was a brazen, vicious and unprovoked attack against an innocent man who was using a cashpoint machine while on his way to work in Christchurch.

"I am appealing to anyone who knows the man in the CCTV footage - and where he may be - to contact the police in confidence."

Dorset Police said it has now released the footage after all lines of inquiry were exhausted.
