Bournemouth's St Peter's Church sealed off over sex attack

A church in Dorset has been cordoned off by police after a report of a sexual assault within the grounds.

Officers were called to St Peter's Church in Bournemouth when the attack was reported shortly after 0430 BST.

The church has been sealed off while investigations are carried out. Police are yet to release further details but appealed for witnesses to come forward.

The church is the burial place of Frankenstein author Mary Shelley and her parents.
