Christmas trees found after Dorset garden centre thefts

Police investigating the theft of "large numbers" of Christmas trees from garden centres in Dorset have discovered 200 at a farm.

Five garden centres in the east of the county have reported thefts, all of which are believed to have taken place at night.

A 64-year-old man has been arrested and released on bail.

Dorset Police is now urging anyone else who believes their trees have gone missing to get in touch.

Cranborne Garden Centre, Stewarts in Holt, Pamphill Dairy Farm, Golden Acres at Parley and John Brown Garden Centre in Three Legged Cross all had Christmas trees stolen.

Dorset Police said officers visited the farm following information from a member of the public.
