Weymouth bank evacuated over 'suspicious package'

A bank and 10 other properties in Dorset were evacuated after reports a suspicious package had been found.

The package was discovered inside the Lloyds TSB bank in St Thomas Street, Weymouth.

Police said members of the public were evacuated from the 10 other properties "as a precaution" and a 160ft (50m) cordon set up.

An Explosive Ordnance Disposal team attended but the package was not found to be explosive.
