Domestic violence campaign starts across Dorset

  • Published

A campaign to tackle domestic abuse across Dorset has been launched.

As part of the project an online video has been produced to show how two women have got their lives back on track after getting help from police.

PC Karen Penn, who is working on the campaign, urged more victims to come forward to report abuse and to receive protection.

She said: "Dorset Police takes each and every report of domestic abuse very seriously."

Ms Penn added: "I'd urge any victims to report abuse at the earliest opportunity so that we can offer you advice and the right support as soon as possible.

"Our assistance can range from recording details of a crime to changing your locks, fitting panic alarms in your home and even moving you and where appropriate, your family to a safe place."
