Man 'critical' after Weymouth knife attack

A man is critically ill in hospital after being stabbed in an attack in a Dorset seaside town.

The 56-year-old suffered knife wounds after being assaulted in Ranelagh Road, Weymouth, Dorset, on Saturday evening.

Hours later officers returned to the scene after a 38-year-old man suffered injuries to his face and body in an attack police are linking.

Two men, aged 31 and 23, have been arrested by detectives on suspicion of assault.

Both injured men are in Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester.
