Car vandal pushes man to ground in Dorset

A 65-year-old man was pushed to the ground when he attempted to stop a vandal from damaging a car in Dorset.

The victim intervened when he saw the man smashing the windscreen of a car parked along Riverway in Charmouth, just after midnight.

He was treated in hospital after suffering cuts to his head and arm but has since been released.

The offender was said to be aged about 18, 5ft 10in, with short, blond hair, clean shaven and wearing a red T-shirt.

Pc Graham Lawrence, of Dorset Police, said: "It was very brave of the victim to intervene and try to stop stop this offence.

"The behaviour of the offender is utterly disgusting so I'm determined he's brought to justice."
