A second firearm has been found at a Bournemouth nature reserve one day after a dog walker found a shotgun.
The first gun was found on Kinson Common on Friday. It was not loaded.
The second firearm was found during overnight searches of the common by Dorset Police. The area remains sealed off while officers investigate.
Detectives have appealed for anyone who uses the common regularly who may have seen suspicious activity to contact them.
Sgt Steve Houston, of Dorset Police, said: "The discovery of these firearms is obviously concerning.
"I am appealing to anyone with any information to contact Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555 111 or Dorset Police on 1202 222 2222."
