Things to do in Dorset for the Royal Wedding

A few suggestions to help you plan your Royal Wedding celebration on 29 April...

A Royal Wedding Picnic on the Pitch will take place at Lyme Regis Football Club from 1100 BST, with a bouncy castle and skittles.

There is a Party in the Park at Pageant Gardens in Sherborne with a wedding cake stall and an exhibition of vintage wedding dresses.

The Electric Palace in Bridport will be dressed for a street party and will screen the Royal Wedding.

There will be celebrations and a big screen at Maumbury Rings in Dorchester from 1000 - 1600 BST.

The Crossways Street Party will run from 1500 - 1700 BST in the main hall of Frome Valley First School, Dorchester.

Osmington residents will celebrate with a party in the village hall and on the green, with children's competitions and local artists. Invite only.

A parade, picnic and hog roast will take place at Bere Regis Sports Club - organised by the parish council - from 1500 - 2000 BST.

A street party with live entertainment will take place on Weymouth Esplanade and beach from 1030 BST.

A separate street party will take place at Weymouth harbourside where the Royal Wedding will be shown outside on a giant screen.

The Little Ship pub on Portland is holding a garden party with face painting and a bouncy castle from 1200 BST.

The New Inn pub in Littlemoor is putting on a weekend reception for the Royal celebration, starting at 0900 BST.

The Corfe Castle School Royal Tea Party, with tea and cake, takes place from 1400 - 1700 BST.

A Royal Wedding Garden Party, with a prize for the best hat, is on at The Crown Hotel Dorset, Blandford Forum from 1000 - 1600 BST.

Scratch the Royal Wedding - an evening of poetry, music and drama - will take place at Vita Nova in Bournemouth.

The Regent Centre in Christchurch will screen the Royal Wedding. Seats must be booked in advance.

There will be Royal Wedding Afternoon Tea at Harbour Heights Hotel in Sandbanks with live TV coverage.

The Hotel du Vin & Bistro, Poole will show the event on a big screen and hosts a "lazy brunch".
