Dorset crash driver dies in hospital

A driver whose vehicle crashed in Dorset when he fell ill at the wheel has died in hospital.

The vehicle mounted the kerb at the Redlands roundabout near the junction of the A35 near Branksome in Poole.

Paramedics were called at about 1330 BST and the man was taken to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Police have not released details about the vehicle or the man's age as his next of kin are yet to be informed. A report has been given to the coroner.

The road was closed until about 1500 BST while the scene was cleared.
