Bournemouth shop worker suffers face injuries in robbery

A shop worker has been injured during a robbery in a Dorset town.

Four men are being sought by police in Bournemouth after the Premier Express store on Bennett Road was robbed shortly after 0600 BST.

The 44-year-old suffered facial injuries and the robbers fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Three men went inside during the raid while the fourth, wearing a florescent top. waited outside. The others wore dark clothing and hooded tops.

One of the robbers was described as white and of stocky build, while the other three were black.

Police appealed for anyone who saw anything suspicious, or has found any items discarded in their gardens, to get in touch.

A spokesman said the robbers may have fled along Bennett Road or Capstone Road.
