Murder investigation after death of man in Dorset
A murder investigation has begun after a man died from his injuries following an incident in Dorset, police said.
Officers were called to Parkwood Road in the Southbourne area of Bournemouth, in the early hours of Wednesday, after a man suffered serious injuries.
The 42-year-old man from Poole later died at Bournemouth Hospital.
Dorset Police said there had been no arrests in connection with the death and are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
A cordon is in place at the junction between Seabourne Road and Woodside Road.
A police spokesman said: "There are high visibility patrols in the area to provide reassurance."
Officers are also carrying out door-to-door inquiries about the incident, which occurred at 0045 BST.
A formal identification has not yet taken place.
