Dorset firefighters put out Bryants Puddle heath fire

Dorset fire crews put out a heathland fire after being called out at around midday.

The Bere Regis crew was originally called out to a hedgerow fire in Bryants Puddle.

On arrival they realised an area of heathland was alight and Wareham and Poole crews came to assist.

The fire is believed to have started accidentally. Firefighters stayed at the scene until the early afternoon in order to damp down hot spots.
