Poole shooting: Man arrested after firearm recovered

Police are questioning a Dorset man on suspicion of attempted murder after a gun was fired at a Poole house.

A firearm was recovered from a property in Rossmore Road, Parkstone on Friday morning after officers had earlier cordoned off a bungalow.

A 51-year-old Bournemouth man is in custody as investigations continue.

Nobody was injured but police are appealing for anyone in the area with information about the incident at about 11:15 BST to come forward.

A Dorset Police spokesman said: "During the incident a firearm was discharged, however no-one was injured.

"A 51-year-old Bournemouth man has been arrested and the investigation is ongoing."
