Thoroughbred horses stolen from Dorset field

Three thoroughbred horses, including a mare which is due to foal, have been stolen from a field in Dorset.

The 11-year old mare, a three-year-old gelding and two year-old filly were taken from a field at Hazelbury Bryan, near Sturminster Newton.

Police said it was likely they were led out of the unlocked gate and along a track to a lorry or transporter.

They have appealed for information about any suspicious activity in the area overnight on 29 March.

All three horses are micro-chipped.
