London 2012: Weymouth torch relay tickets up for grabs
Residents in Weymouth and Portland can apply for tickets to join the evening celebrations when the Olympic torch comes to Dorset.
Weymouth beach hosts the arrival of the Olympic flame on 12 July at the end of the 55th leg of the Torch Relay from Salisbury.
An evening celebration will include entertainment and live music from rapper Wretch 32.
Each household can apply for up to five tickets from 12 June.
Admission to the evening event will be by ticket only. Those successful will have until 29 June to collect their wrist-bands.
The public can watch the Torch Relay for free as it makes its way from Osprey Quay in Portland, along Ham Beach Road and past the Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy.
A fireworks display over Weymouth Bay will round off the two-and-a-half hour event.
Local children from the 'Moving Tides' carnival will be among the performers, as well as bands Weapons of Sound, Magic Drum Orchestra and B-Sharp.
Councillor Mike Goodman, from Weymouth & Portland Borough Council said: "This is going to be a very special and unique occasion and we want to ensure we give the Olympic Flame a fantastic welcome."
