An inquest has confirmed that remains found in a Dorset wood are those of missing man Geoffrey Reed.

Mr Reed, from Bournemouth, went missing on 7 June. His remains were found in a wood near the village of Lytchett Matravers earlier this month.

An inquest at Bournemouth Coroner's Court heard the 57-year-old died from multiple blunt force injuries.

Three men charged with his murder have been remanded in custody after appearing at Winchester Crown Court.

Stuart Wareham, 25, of Bournemouth, and Lee Wareham, 32, and Benjamin Walter, 21, both of no fixed address, will reappear at Winchester Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing on 7 September.
