Police investigating a suspected gang-related murder in Dorset are searching for a car seen twice on the night of the shooting.

Reece James Menzies, 21, from London was shot dead at an address in Roumelia Lane, Boscombe on 25 July.

Detectives are trying to trace a large saloon car, believed to be a Renault Laguna, seen just before and after the shooting.

A second vehicle seen in Roumelia Lane has been eliminated from the inquiry.

The saloon car was seen twice between 02:00 and 02:30 BST.

Det Ch Insp Kevin Connolly said: "The timing of these sightings is clearly significant and I desperately need to either implicate or eliminate this vehicle from our investigation.

"The motive for this attack is still not known.

"I am sure someone out there, including friends of Reece, will have information that would help us.

"I reassure people any information will be treated confidentially."

A 22-year-old man arrested over the shooting has been released on bail.
