Boy suffers burns in Weymouth garden fire

A 12-year-old boy has been taken to hospital with burns after a fire in a garden in Dorset.

The blaze at the property in Spring Grove, Weymouth, had been put out with a garden hose by the time firefighters arrived, shortly after 09:00 BST.

Crews were initially called to the fire by paramedics and helped treat the boy with burns gel.

The boy was taken to hospital by ambulance. Dorset Fire and Rescue said cause of the fire was not yet known.
