Bartle Frere, former British Airways pilot, faces retrial for abuse charges

A former British Airways pilot is to face a retrial for sexual abuse charges relating to boys in India and the UK.

Bartle Frere, 50, from Dorset, will stand trial for 17 counts of child sex offences at Bournemouth Crown Court on a date to be confirmed.

The charges include sexual activity with a child and indecent assault.

Mr Frere, who was arrested at Heathrow in November last year, is on conditional bail. He is from Shipton Gorge, Dorset.
