A suspected arson attack at a newly-opened nightclub in Dorset is being investigated by police.

A pile of rubbish was set alight behind the Boombox club on The Esplanade, Weymouth, in the early hours of the morning.

The fire damaged a window while the inside of the venue, which was closed at the time, became smoke-logged.

Fire crews from Weymouth were called to the club, which opened on 2 April, at 02:42 BST and extinguished the blaze.
