Bransgore man charged after Bournemouth pedestrian death crash

A man has been charged after a pedestrian died and another suffered head injuries when they were hit by a car in Bournemouth.

A 49-year-old man, from Bournemouth, died at the scene of the crash near Royal Bournemouth General Hospital on Castle Lane East on 13 December.

A 48-year-old Bournemouth woman sustained head and pelvis injuries.

Tomas Pittaway, 25, from Bransgore, Hampshire, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.

He has also been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving and causing death by driving a vehicle uninsured.

He is due at Bournemouth Magistrates' Court on 15 July.
