A man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a car was "driven directly" at nightclub staff has been released from custody.

Two staff members were injured at Bournemouth's Halo club at 02:19 GMT on Tuesday.

The 19-year-old arrested man from Blandford remains under investigation, Dorset Police said.

A 21-year-old man from Poole, arrested on suspicion of assault, has been released without charge.

The incident followed an altercation between two men and staff at the club, detectives said.

One of the men left the area and returned in a black Vauxhall Corsa which was driven at staff members, police said.

An employee was hurt in the incident but his injuries are not life-changing.

One of the man's colleagues suffered a shoulder injury.

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses.
