Arrests over fatal collision on A12 in Essex

Two people have been arrested after a man was killed in a collision on the A12 in Essex.

Six vehicles were involved in the incident on Friday afternoon on the southbound carriageway at Boreham.

A 39-year-old man from the Chelmsford area who was driving one of the vehicles died at the scene.

A 21-year-old-woman and a 19-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of death by careless driving. Both were bailed until 22 October.

The carriageway was closed for more than seven hours while the scene was examined and vehicles recovered.
