Crews free man from recycling bin in Essex
A man was freed by firefighters from a recycling bin in Essex after a dog walker heard his cries for help.
He was trapped in a closed bin outside the sports centre in Great Wakering, near Southend, in the early hours.
Two crews arrived and found a woman comforting a young man "who had clearly had a good night out", a fire service spokesman said.
"How he got into the bin is a bit of a mystery, but he would still be there if the woman hadn't heard him," he added.
"She was unable to get him out, so called the fire service for assistance."
Police were called because firefighters were concerned he would not find his way home.
