Driver bailed after cyclist dies in Chelmsford

An 18-year-old man arrested after a cyclist was killed in a collision in Essex has been bailed by police.

Nicholas Cherrill, 57, of Boreham Road, Great Leighs, died in a collision with a Vauxhall Corsa on the old A130 main road at Ford End, Chelmsford on Sunday.

The car driver from the Great Dunmow area was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been bailed until Tuesday.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call Essex Police.
