Four lorries were ordered off the road during a crackdown by police on the A12 in Essex.

Patrols stopped 50 vehicles as part of a campaign against dangerous and poorly-driven lorries.

The vehicles were checked at Boreham services off the A12 on Wednesday.

Three lorries were prohibited from driving off after mechanical and weight offences were discovered. Another lorry was seized because of concerns over the driver's eyesight.
