Man charged over Essex A12 wrong way driving


A 48-year-old man arrested after a car was driven the wrong way along a dual carriageway in Essex has been charged.

The man has been charged with drinking and driving, dangerous driving, driving without third party insurance and failing to stop.

Police said a car had been driven the wrong way between junctions 24 and 25 on the A12 on Saturday night.

The man, who is from Halstead, has been bailed to appear at Colchester Magistrates' Court on 28 April.
