Braintree murder accused remanded in custody

A 29-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a woman in a house in Braintree, Essex.

Tina Bennett, 47, was found with serious neck injuries in Keeble Way by police on Easter Sunday and pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem examination found the cause of death was stab wounds.

Howard Matthew Livings, 29, of Maysent Avenue, Braintree, was remanded in custody by Chelmsford magistrates to appear at the town's crown court later.
