Oliver Smith-Daye car park murder: Two women bailed
Two women questioned over the death of a man found in an Essex car park have been released on bail.
Oliver Smith-Daye, 29, is thought to have been attacked behind Trimley Close, in Clacton-on-Sea, on New Year's Day.
A 21-year-old woman, from Clacton, was held on suspicion of murder. A 42-year-old woman, also from Clacton, was arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.
Both have been bailed until 3 April.
Mr Smith-Daye, from West Avenue in the town, died after being taken to hospital with head injuries.
A provisional post-mortem examination was inconclusive and further tests are needed to find a cause of death, a police spokesman said.
A 21-year-old man, from Clacton, and a 42-year-old man, from east London, remain in custody after being arrested on suspicion of Mr Smith-Daye's murder.
They are being questioned at separate police stations in Essex.
Police are linking the attack to a disturbance at a new year party.
It was unclear if a weapon was used in the attack, officers said.
A metal instrument, understood to be a golf club, was recovered from the scene.
