Second charge over Essex police car crash

A second person has been charged after a crash involving four cars, including an Essex police car, in which a woman was seriously hurt.

A 25-year-old woman and two police officers were injured in the crash on the A414 in Danbury on 5 April.

A 21-year-old man from east London, has been charged with aggravated vehicle taking and injury caused by accident.

He will appear at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court later. The injured woman is serious but stable.

The two police officers are recovering at home after being treated at Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford.
