Harwich man charged in James Johnson head stabbing case

A 22-year-old has been charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed in the head in Essex.

James Johnson, 20, of Harwich, was stabbed in a fight in Mill Lane in the town at about 02:00 BST on Sunday. He is in a critical, life-threatening condition at the Royal London Hospital.

Police said unemployed Kyle Ogilvie, of Station Lane, Harwich, is due to appear before Chelmsford magistrates later.

Two men, aged 23 and 34, have been released from their bail, police said.

They had been arrested in connection with the incident.
