Two men charged over shots fired at Essex bar wall

Two men have been charged over a shooting at a bar in Essex in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Dean Edwards, 38, of Convent Close, Braintree, and Michael Cooper, 40, of Russell Road, Clacton, are due before Chelmsford magistrates on Monday.

They were arrested after three shots damaged a wall at the TP Sports Bar in Queen Street, Colchester.

Both have been charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm. A search is continuing for the weapon.
