Harlow police appeal as jogger found near Third Avenue

A jogger is in a critical condition in hospital after collapsing during a run - but police have no idea who he is.

The man was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow after he was found near the town's Third Avenue on Wednesday morning.

Police were called because hospital staff did not know who he was.

He is white, aged between 30 and 50 years old, about 5ft 10in tall, clean-shaven and brown eyes. Nobody has yet reported him missing, police say.

A police spokesman said: "He had been found unconscious by passers-by on the grassed area opposite Asda and Water Garden off Third Avenue shortly after 6am.

"He is currently in a critical condition after medical staff identified a serious internal head injury."

The man, who had a door key with a black entry tag attached, has several moles on his chest.

He was dressed in a white top, black Ronhill running bottoms, white Asics trainers with blue and black markings and a run-365 wrist sweatband.
