A12 reopens after Essex fatal lorry crash

Part of the A12 was closed for more than 13 hours after a lorry driver died in a collision.

The crash on the southbound stretch of the carriageway near its junction with the M25 caused severe delays around the Essex/London border.

The lorry struck the central reservation and ended up on its side across lanes of the carriageway

The road reopened at 05:30 BST. The driver, a man in his 50s from Wiltshire, died at the scene.
