Police have confirmed a body found on a beach was an Albanian man who jumped from a ferry during deportation.

A major search off the Suffolk and Essex coast was held last month after two men jumped from a North Sea ferry.

The body of one - now named as Leonovid Isufaj - was found last Thursday on the beach at Felixstowe.

A Suffolk Police spokesman said an inquest into the 27-year-old's death will be held at a later date.

"As is standard procedure, his death is being treated as unexplained pending the results of a post-mortem examination," the spokesman said. "However, there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances."

The second man who went missing from the ferry on 26 February has not yet been found.
