Two men have been arrested by police investigating the death of a man stabbed 102 times in Essex.

James Attfield, 33, who had a severe brain injury after being hit by a car four years ago, was found dead in Castle Park in Colchester on 29 March.

Two men, both 33, and from Essex, have been taken to Colchester Police Station where they will be questioned.

They have also been arrested on suspicion of involvement with an offence of grievous bodily harm.

This separate offence is alleged to have taken place on a footpath near Leisure World in Colchester at about 02:00 BST on Saturday 31 May.

A man and woman, both 27, were arrested in April in connection with the death. They were released on police bail.
