A teaching assistant, who admitted sending sexual photographs of herself to a 15-year-old pupil, has avoided an immediate jail term.
Last month, Elaine McKay, 58, was found not guilty of two counts of sexual activity with a child.
However, she admitted sending explicit photographs and performing sexual acts over an internet video messaging service.
She was sentenced to 12 months in prison, suspended for two years.
Chelmsford Crown Court judge Patricia Lynch said McKay would also have to complete 200 hours of unpaid work and would be subject to a sexual offences prevention order for five years.
McKay left her job at Clacton Coastal Academy after being suspended over the incident.
