Canvey Island murder: Man arrested over death of Kelly Pearce

Kelly Pearce, 36, died after being "seriously assaulted" at an address in Essex

A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a woman in Essex.

The victim, 36-year-old Kelly Pearce, was found with a serious neck injury at a property on Canvey Island at 16:55 GMT on Thursday. She later died in hospital.

Her family described her as "a loving mother and daughter who was big-hearted and full of life".

Anthony Ayres, 48, was arrested on Friday, Essex Police said. He has been taken into custody for questioning.
