South Ockendon murder: Police still looking for two men
Police investigating the murder of a man who was killed in a "brazen assault" are still looking for two men who left in a car.
The victim has been named as 52-year-old George Cunningham from South Ockendon, Essex. He was assaulted near Dilkes Park in the area on 14 December.
Police say post-mortem tests found he had suffered a serious head injury.
A number of vehicles passed by during the assault, detectives said, including one with two men inside.
"Investigations into Mr Cunningham's death are progressing well and we have a number of lines of inquiry," said Det Insp Stuart Truss.
"We are still looking to trace two men who left the area in a silver or light-coloured vehicle.
"There were a number of vehicles that passed the scene at the time of the assault and I need anyone who has any dash-cam footage of the vehicle or the men to come forward."
At the time of Mr Cunningham's death, police said the killing was believed to have been a "targeted attack" and urged anyone with information to contact them or call Crimestoppers.
Their car was sliver or light in colour
