Man knocked unconscious by dog walker in Gloucester

A man was taken to hospital after being knocked unconscious during an assault by a dog walker in Gloucester.

The attack happened in Derby Road at about midnight on Friday. The 58-year-old victim was treated for injuries to his back, head and face.

The offender is said to be in his early 30s, black and about 6ft tall. He wore a dark T-shirt with a white collar.

A white woman is also thought to have been present. The dog was described as a light brown pit bull puppy.
