Three people injured in two-car crash in Cheltenham

Three people, including a police officer, were taken to hospital after a crash in Cheltenham.

The accident happened at the junction of Shelburne Road and Lansdown Road just before 2230 BST on Monday night.

A car, driven by an 18-year-old man, was in collision with a police vehicle. He and his female passenger, aged 19, were freed from the car by fire crews.

Neither they, nor the police officer, received life threatening injuries. The road was shut for more than four hours.
