Four charged over Tewkesbury supermarket cash robbery

Four men have been charged following an armed robbery outside a supermarket in Tewkesbury.

Cash was stolen from a security guard loading a cash machine at Morrisons in Ashchurch Road on Friday.

Police later arrested four men in West Bromwich after a white Peugeot van was stopped close to junction 1 of the M5.

The four, aged 37, 27, 28, and 32, from Merseyside, have been charged with robbery and possession of an imitation firearm whilst committing an offence.

The 28-year-old is also charged with dangerous driving, driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance.

All four men were remanded in custody and will appear at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on Monday.
