A dog has been killed in an attack by another dog in Cheltenham.

Police said a girl was walking her two Yorkshire Terriers on Village Road at around 1630 BST on Monday.

Officers said a black Staffordshire Bull Terrier-type dog with a white eye patch attacked both animals.

One was seriously injured and was taken to a vet, but died the next day. Police are appealing for anyone who knows the Staffordshire Bull Terrier-type dog's owner to contact them.
