Gloucestershire road runs dry after mains burst
- Published
About 450 homes in the Gloucestershire village of Withington lost their water supplies on Sunday morning after a mains pipe burst.
Thames Water said repairs were proving "trickier" than expected because the break was on a bend.
The company said it hoped to have the fault fixed and water restored to homes in The Farthings by 1800 BST.
Part of the road has been dug up to allow workmen access to the broken pipe.
